CAS EXPERIENCES

The CAS programme formally begins at the start of the Diploma Programme and continues regularly, ideally on a weekly basis, for at least 18 months. You should have a reasonable balance between creativity, activity, and service.

Each experience and project must involve one or more of the 3 CAS strands (creativity, activity or service)

Experiences may be single or on-going series of events.

One CAS Project must last at least one month in duration and show initiation, perseverance, and development of skills of collaboration, problem-solving, and decision-making.

Is it a CAS Experience?

When deciding on a CAS experience, ask yourself the following questions:

Will the experience be enjoyable to me?
Does the experience allow for development of my personal interests, skills and/or talents?
What new possibilities or challenges could the experience provide me?
What might be the possible consequences of the CAS experience for myself, others and the environment?
Which CAS learning outcomes will I address?
